The campsite lies on the outskirts of the hamlet Foros do
Barão, where the people live from their own terrain and animals.
They make goat cheese, they cultivate fruits and vegetables, they hunt on
pigs and birds and they make wine and olive oil. Frequently a shepherd in
traditional costume lets his 200 sheep graze just outside the terrain. In
the local restaurants the Alentejan dishes e.g. the black pig, are on the
